So… I almost got you stationery, Something on which to write letters – Then I remembered that I couldn’t read your handwriting….ever.

The suggestion of technology came up. as your firstborn I shut that down immediately – knowing that I’d likely be the one instructed to show you how to use it.

Then it was flowers…cute, but useless.

Jewelry?…beautiful…but useless…and expensive.

So I thought further. What does Mum want to do with her life?

 

She wants to spread the word. To the farthest reaches of the planet ( but definitely Ghana.)

She wants to share the lessons she learned throughout her faith-walk with those who have had so many lies told to them.

She wants to repair the damage wrought by a money-hungry and word-light church.

She wants to offer others the guidance she gave her children.

She wants to share love.

She wants to write truth.

 

Then it became obvious. Mum needed a Website!

 

This only made things harder. WordPress? Medium? Blogger?…Tumblr? Wix? Squarespace?

The options were nigh infinite – but in the end, the one that I believed would be easiest for you to use won-out. There are Apps for WordPress, countless tutorials…and more importantly, a child who uses it already.

 

Now for a name…

I once asked you what your superhero name would be were you given a power…you chose the amusingly faith-centered choice, true to  your brand, I guess – “Healing touch”…But that sounded like a Medical website. So I thought further, Wave Light, Particle Light? You one mentioned a fascination with the dual nature of light as it in many ways reflected the dual nature of Christ…but that sounded like a science site…Anything overly church-sounding would put you in the same camp as the Ghanaian mega-churches with so little to offer their congregation…and that was unacceptable. So I thought on.

Until  I remembered a brand that I dreamed-up while on a flight to see Femi over the Easter weekend. “well-versed?…versed-well….VerseWell.. Bingo.

A repository of scripture = VerseWell

A command to know your faith = VerseWell

A promise to write for those who need to understand= VerseWell

A guarantee that each topic has been lived, not merely observed = VerseWell.

This page, blog, website, whatever you want to call it is the start. It is a chance for you to speak honestly about the God you have come to rely upon, and the life he has guided you through. Waiting until you’re “not busy” to develop a radio show or a writing career is a silly notion. We live in a world where you can develop your body of work at any time, at any place.

So I encourage you to make this page your own, – to link Soundcloud with it so that you have a permanent record of teachings you yourself record. To fill it with words, pictures, and truths that improve/solve/save the lives of countless readers.
